Cooperation between Brazilian research foundations and UK Academies stimulates the mobility of young UK scientists to visit research groups in Brazil to short-term (from 7 days to 12 months) and medium to long term (from 6 months to 36 months). For the São Paulo state, it is also offered an opportunity for young investigators from the UK to start a research career in a university or research institution in the State of São Paulo. The required documentation for the proposals must be submitted to FAPESP before October 23, 2015 (http://www.fapesp.br/en/8951). As a counterpart, the UK Academies will offer fellowships from the Newton Fund Fellowships (CONFAP-UK-Academies-Call-2015) to the Brazilian research community, covering the fields of natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, and medical sciences. The British Academy will also offer mobility grants to the Brazilian research community.
The 3rd edition of the program SPRINT (Sao Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration) is open for proposals. The program aims to promote the engagement of researchers affiliated to institutions of higher education and research in the State of São Paulo in partnership with researchers abroad in order to further develop qualitatively the ongoing research projects. The program will consider proposals in partnership with researcher whose institutions have or not a current agreement with FAPESP. The deadline for this call is October 26th, 2015. The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, Brazil) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) make public a call for proposals to researchers of ongoing projects funded by FAPESP within the following schemes: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs), to submit projects for the exchange of researchers between the State of São Paulo, Brazil and the USA. The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, Brazil) and The Scripps Research Institute (SCRIPPS, USA), announce the call for joint research projects in the FAPESP/SCRIPPS 2015. The aim is to promote and strengthen collaboration between researchers affiliated with SCRIPPS and those affiliated with Higher Education and Research Institutions in the State of São Paulo, in the basic biomedical research field. The eligible applicants from São Paulo are researchers who comply with the Regular Research Award and from USA, the call is open for any SCRIPPS Faculty members. The Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Foundation and The Alexander von Humbolt Foundation (AvH) have announced the Capes/Humboldt Scholarship Program. The program will select qualified Brazilian researchers to develop a research project in collaboration with German or German residents. The aim is to amplify the partnership of Brazilian researchers with recognized scientists from Germany. The scholarships will be designed to pos docs and to experienced researchers who have completed their PhD thesis within twelve years.
